Exhibition Design, Immersive
2017
The city represents a lot of things and through the eyes of the children, it can be seen as a place where adults go to work. However, how can a city be relevant to the children in terms of teaching them about colours?
Activities
City Zone
Mix and match the colours of the building blocks which are made of translucent acrylic Lego blocks. Children are able to see the colour changing when two different colour blocks are placed in front of another. The purpose of this activity is to challenge the mind of children to change the colours of the blocks and reconstruct the building.
Park Zone
There are 2 main activities in this zone. Firstly is the colouring of a leaf on paper. They are to use the tables to draw on. These coloured leaves are then pasted on the tree to show them the cool and warm colours. The second activity is the day and night screen. The switch at the side of the wall allows children to see the screen changes to nighttime through the colour changing on the screen canvas.
Sky Zone
The rainbow on the ceiling is arranged according to the colour wheel sequence. This teaches them the order of the colours and to memorize the sequence by heart.
