Inspired by the book written by Rudy Mosbergen, it shares untold stories from the war and how it was affected by the people of Queen Street. Through his stories, the concept of this project derived from the way the Eurasian culture was but most importantly, captured the essence of Rudy’s life journey that motivates him to educate others.
Layout
Donation Point: A place where outsiders can show support by donating books, games or canned food that would be out in the centre.
Bar Pantry: This pantry has plenty of books on cooking thus visitor who uses the pantry is able to make a new recipe for items on the go. While others may enjoy seating and get a taste of the food.
Learn & Play: donated books and board games that family and friends can enjoy. There are also computer learning programs for the elderly to learn with the trainers.
Resting Hub & Workshop: An open space for entrepreneurs to host workshops for visitors. The communal seating area invites everyone to learn closely together.
Exchange Programme: Free tuition for underprivileged children to learn with student volunteers. The exchange is children get to learn while the volunteers gain exposure themselves to teaching.
